Television media and its Influence on the lifestyle of viewers of the Vida e Saúde program

The aim of this study was to analyze the lifestyle of viewers of the program Vida e Saúde on TV Novo Tempo and its relationship with physical, mental health and quality of life. TV Novo Tempo has a female audience, aged between 35 and 60 years old and from diverse social classes. Cross-sectional study, quantitative approach, using the Eight Natural Remedies Questionnaire (Q8RN). 499 viewers took part, ± 46.7 years old, 82.2% women. The anxiety disorder was the most prevalent (21.4%), the physical health "regular" (42.7%), mental health "good" (42.7%) and quality of life "regular" (41.7%). The total lifestyle score was "good". There was a positive correlation between the length of time attending the program and the variables (p= 0.001), as well as between the total score of the questionnaire and the variables (p= 0.001). It can be concluded that this program has a positive influence on viewers' physical, mental health and their quality of life.
