Abstract

The relevance of dialogue with society on science, health and technology topics is a recurring discussion in the field of scientific communication, highlighting the importance of the knowledge translation process, that is, the application of research results in real life based on of evidence-based practices. This is research is an international scoping review that aimed to analyze the approaches to the translation of knowledge in public health and find out which methods are most present in the scientific literature. The 36 studies that made up the research corpus were categorized into four groups: knowledge dissemination, evidence synthesis, application and exchange. The scarcity of scientific production focused on this theme is highlighted and it concludes with a reflection on the relevance of incorporating culture in the process of translating scientific knowledge into health policies, highlighting perspectives for new studies.
