The article aims to systematize scientific production on the main professional competencies needed to include digital health in Primary Health Care. To this end, a scoping review was carried out with a search for articles in the PubMed, Science Direct and Capes journals databases, in English and Portuguese, from 2013 to 2023. Ten of the studies made into the final analytical corpus. The results described competencies for technical and operational IT skills, but had little emphasis on critical competencies to enable a collaborative and systematic approach to decision-making. This suggests that integrating these competences will not be simple due to the breadth of the ever-changing technological landscape. It is recommended that studies be carried out on innovative approaches to technology-supported care practice by PHC teams, in order to avoid disparities in access and health care outcomes.
