El impacto de la telemedicina en el costo de la atención médica: una revisión integradora

El presente trabajo aborda el tema de la gestión en salud, más concretamente la telemedicina y su impacto en el coste de la atención sanitaria. El objetivo es: encuestar y presentar el impacto del uso de la telemedicina en el costo de la atención de la salud. Para ello, se realizó una investigación exploratoria y descriptiva, a través de una revisión integradora realizada en las bases de datos Medline, SciELO, LILACS y en el buscador académico Google Scholar. Como resultado, se analizaron 62 artículos que contribuyen a señalar que el uso de la telemedicina/telesalud presentó una reducción de los costos de atención en salud, al conducir a una mayor costo-efectividad, costo-utilidad y reducción de costos, siendo una herramienta promisoria para brindar asistencia a la salud, generando beneficios tanto para el paciente como para la institución.
